I need to read the sales data from the till once a day automatically.

The PC and the Till are left on and their communication is fine - can read the sales manually by hitting the appropriate button.

I set up a scheduled task in David, selecting the appropriate till and that seems fine.
I setup the scheduled task in windows to run at 9pm each day.

The software runs and appears on screen at the scheduled time but no read occurs.

Does anyone have any ideas, help, instructions etc ?

I assume that you have windows scheduler set with correct run command and windows password etc

Have you configured sales schedule within david software. You need to add your till there and select required read info

Yup done both of that. Did wonder if I needed some sort of variable on the command to get it to do an automatic read though.

The SX-690

Communication with the till when I do it manually is fine.

Within windows scheduler check these settings

file namebox should be c:\geller\david\sx690\sx690.exe
(this is default location where david is installed)

and in the run command
c:\geller\david\sx690\sx690.exe/s

I haven't put in the /s
I'll give that a go.

Just to confirm this did work though I did need a space before the /s
