How do you setup sharp up-700 to print ? I want to setup the till so it only prints one receipt with all previous and additional items on it, right now it prints a new receipt every time additional item are added. The receipt only shows balance with new items added. Please help.

If you are using the 700 for table tracking, then you need to put a guest check receipt (GCRCPT) button on the keyboard. If not, then check line 912 in system presets. 912-C should be at 4 (ie --4-). However to do all this you need a service key.

My fault.
Put an autokey on the keyboard from the 'free keys', (not one in use already), then go to pgm2, down to 'autokey', then press these keys in this sequence: Autokey-Mode-2-Enter-Autokey-CashTL. By autokey I mean the key you've just put on. When you press this button now it will then ask for GLU number (table number) and then print a bill.
To stop it printing everytime you add something, switch the receipt off.

I programmed keys in this sequence: Auto1 > M. FNC > ENTER > Auto1 > CashTL (no sale). Now when i press the Auto key its says RA and when I press autokey again it says RA 0.00 Balance. I tried entering new table, then table number and enter items, then recall table again and more items and enter final (temp sale) but when i recall table it displays all of them on screen but not on the receipt (its show PBAL and the just the balance). So basically i want to setup soft check with all items listed on just one receipt to give customer. I own a restaurant, and customers are always adding more items to the bill. Please Help I live in a small town and we dont have any retail support for cash register.

Programed:

N.C. (122) ='s New Table
Table # (131) = Table Number
GLU RC (130) = Table's Open or Table Recall
RCPT (94) =
Final (135) =
Bill (138) =

This should make it easier. Make the autokey: 'AutoKey1 - MiscFunc - 2 - AutoKey1. When you press the autokey now it will ask for the GLU#, put it in, press enter and enter again to make it print out an intermediate bill on the receipt (you don't have a slip printer I take it). You can do this as many times as you like and you don't have to list the open tables first.
I've found doing the bills this way is easier for staff to follow.
Take off the FINAL button and put on a NBAL(43) button. This lets you put a table away but it is still active (ie. not been finalised) so it can be reopened as many times as you like.Once the bill has been paid you can press Rcpt to give the customer a receipt, (the bill isn't a final receipt). Also
What I do too is go into function text and change 'Intermed.' to Bill and 'NBAL' to Total, it makes the bill look better.
I know sometimes the wording Sharp uses for things can be a bit confusing!
Let me know how you get on with this.

MiscFunc option 2 is an intermediate table print. When you make the autokey miss out the 'Enter', so the program should be: go to Pgm2 mode, down to option 3 AUTO KEY, then press 'Autokey1' that you put on the keyboard, then 'MiscFunc', then '2', then 'Autokey1'. Once that's done, turn the key back to 'Reg', press 'Cancel' a couple of times, then press 'Autokey1' again and the screen should say GLU#, then you would just put in the table number you want the bill for, press 'Enter', it then gives you a choice but just choose '1 Rcpt' and it prints a bill.

I tired agian but no GLU# comes up. These are the options that I get under M. FUNC and I selected 2nd option (RA). Also after I enter table# and items it only prints when I press Final or Srvc but not when I press RCPT or Bill.

M. Func

1. RCP S.W.
2. RA
3. RA2
4. PO
5. PO2
6. CA/CHK1
7. CA/CHK2
8. CA/CHK3
9. CA/CHK4
10.CA/CHK5
11.NO SALE
12. MESSAGE
