i looked at the casio website and found a procedure to reset to default. key in off, hold down the receipt feed, key to pgm and should get eight 0's. i got some kind of error.

key back to off, hold down journal feed, key to pgm and this time i get the init and eight 0's but its stuck there. how long should this take to reset?? is there another way to get this thing back?? thanks in advance.

found another post and tried a couple things till one worked.

key to off
hold receipt feed
key to pgm
release receipt feed
press and release subtotal
key to off


machine turned off finally and when i went to reg it came up normal with no data. all clear.

Hi.
It has probably lost everything since you did the wrong reset earlier (holding journal feed tells it to lose all data and start from scratch). the receipt feed reset is the one you needed, it just jumps the machine out of it's current state and returns to normal reg mode.

You will probably have to reprogram the machine now. If it lost date and time then it almost certain.
