Hope someone can help

Have a QT6000 scanning using a MS7820 (solaris scanner)
The scanner picks up 13 digit eans ok, but will not scan 8 digit eans
Errors both in REG mode when trying to scan and in PROGRAM mode when trying to scan to program the item.

Can manually enter the 8 digit ean and can sell it buy typing in the 8 digit number and using the OBR function key
I am assuming its not a till setting but a scanner program setting.

Trying to get hold of a manual for the scanner but thought i would try and get some ideas just incase it`s not a scanner programming issue

I have not programmed that scanner yet. I would try this program scan sheet first.
