Casio TE-2200 Set-up procedure - help required

I have just one little problems to sort (drawer to open) and then I will be able to use my Casio TE-2200. I am just doing this for the first time so would appreciate some help/advice on the following:

1) Flash Card - I have purchased one for back-ups ect but how do I format it?

2) Which software would be best to use - XP or Vista based if possible. I have heard there are some unsupported free ones but have no experience and dont want a mountain of problems like I have had with the till. It will be for a single grocery shop with 20 departments, 2 tax rates and probably 2 or 3 cashiers. Would like to be able to scan the products eventually once we get it all sorted but running out of time now.

Would even consider secondhand software if anyone has some for sale.

Will the drawer open with a key?

You will need a Windows computer with an RS232 port (Serial Port) and a "Null Modem Cable" XP is always best, but Vista or 7 will work.

Your choices are CVW also known as CV10 which has limited ability or the CV22 which is the premium programming software.

Hi, the drawer will NOT open with a key but will automatically open with a Z reading - strange I know but cant use the till until I sort this.

Flash card - I have purchased a new one but the register keeps asking me to insert it when its already there. I have pushed it in all the way but it still wont pick it up, it will run the format program but stops when I press start and says enter card.

I have ordered a cable and I am waiting for it to arrive.

Think I will go for the CV22 software as dont want to waste any more time. Can you direct me to where I can find out more about what it does or doesnt do.

Casio tills do not like CF Cards over 2 gigs. Make sure it is 2 gigs or under.

The CF card is only a 32 mb so the 2 gb should not be an issue.
Programme runs to format it but it just wont accept their is a card in the slot.
Still cant get drawer to open unless doing a z reading - anyone know which code to change for this PLEASE!!!!
