Hi.
I might have found the problem.
I need you to read the department status first.

Turn key to PGM
6 SUBTOTAL
305 SUBTOTAL
1 CASH
10 CASH

This will give you a printed list of the first 10 departments.
Let me know what the long status number is for each department. If it is the same for all departments, then just give me the code once and tell me it's the same for all.

Try this:

Turn key to program mode
3 SUBTOTAL
1966 SUBTOTAL
2

Now press the first department button on the keyboard. If you have PLUs on the keyboard instead of departments, this won't work. There is another way if this is the case. Just let me know.
Press SUBTOTAL to finish

Now turn back to REG mode and try multiplication again, but you must scan a product that is linked to that first department. If it works, you can then do the same for all departments and that will allow multiplication of any scanned product.

Tell me if you have trouble understanding.

Mark

That's good to hear. It was an obscure status feature of departments that dis-allowed multiplication of scanned PLUs by default. Who knows why they would turn it off by default.

We have the TE-4000 here in New Zealand which is the flat keybard version of the TE-3000. They have been pretty good. The only major problems I've had were liquid spillage into the keyboard and mice living inside (a lot were sold to bars and nightclubs). I think this model can also backup to CF card like the TE-2400.
