I have also run into two new questions if anyone can help How do I connect a 9 pin to the TX870 and a USB to my sony laptop? I am not sure which comm to select and what speed to set them to (maybe 38400) Is it even possible to use the usb? I have a serial port on my other computer and can connect and send iformation without a problem.

My next question is on my TX870 I have a couple of LU PLU's that on the reg screen, when I press them: for example white wine bottle, it will not show the options. I have 80% of the menu working but for some reason a couple of the buttons will not show the look up plus. I have checked all the flags, I have tried deleting and reentering. They are all the same but a couple of them won't come up

you will need a usb to serial converter inorder to connect your laptop to the serial port on the till
be warned though that some converters will not work with the till.

things to check regarding your lookup

are the plus allocated to it
do the plus in the lookup have price/group
are you on the correct menu level/price level
