I had do a hard reset of my machine and now I can't work out (even with the manual) how to add names for each of the departments.

If anyone can guide me I would hugely appreciate it.

I don't understand what it means by Flag etc to be honest.

This model can be messy to program manually. Do you want to program department or plu names and are these to have a preset or open price?
It sounds as if you have a 'Quick Setup' manual. There are a lot of these doing the rounds and they really only give very basic info.
If your machine came new in a box you should have a full operation manual.
