After someone attempted to shut off receipt paper with the register was in PGM mode (she has no idea what she hit) the keys 1-10 (default taxed depts?) will not respond in REG mode, or to anything in PGM mode.

While in REG mode: If I attempt to ring up 1.00 (without decimal point), and select any dept 1-10, the result is a beep, with no error code.

While in PGM mode: if I attempt to give any one of these depts a set price, or change dept status, same result, quick beep.

Depts 11-99 work fine.

I've gone through the manual numerous times. I assume my answer is in there, somewhere, but maybe I'm not familiar with the terminology?

Put the mode switch to pgm, then type in:
00000001 - X - (Dept Button) - TL/NS. (-) is just to separate the steps. Do this for each Dept button.
