All the sales brochures tout this feature. Does anyone know how to download the Z and PLU report data to the cf card so that it can be read in excel? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Cathy

To Restore the program:

PGM Mode

Thank you for the reply. Sorry I haven't posted sooner. I've been away for a bit. I can get the program onto the flash card, but Excel can not read it. All the saved reports on the drive have a .900 extension and Excel can not open them. I am still stumped.

the codes he gave you will not do what you want. They are used for backing up and restoring the till. you cannot read this info, it is basically an image of the till program.

To set your till to write the sales to cf, you need to change a parameter. Try this:

first take a backup using the information already given (just to be safe)

Then turn key to pgm, press 6 ST then 129 st. A print out will appear with some long numbers. We are interested in the number next to 1-29. It will be a great long number with 11,12,17 prob in it. Make a note of this number, but we want the first digit to be 2. To do this, press 3 ST then 129 st. Type in 2 followed by the rest of the number you noted earlier (apart from the first digit). Press cash then st to finish.

now whenever you do a Z, it will write the sales data to the card. If the long numbner didnt contain 14, enter that and replace two zeros in the long number and it will be added to the reports.

If you dont have the card in when you do the z, it wont like it.

You might want to get the plu info to show on the file, to do this, in pgm press 6 st then 122 St. Note the number for 15-22 and change the last digit to 3. Same as above, in pgm 3 st 1522 st enter the long number but replace last digit with 2. Cash then ST to finish.

Try it and if you cant get it to work, reload you backup !thumbs

Thank you for the speedy reply.

I tried 6 subtotal 129 subtotal with the key turned to program. After I pressed 129 Subtotal it beeped at me. Is there a flag I need set (remove) before I can perform this function?

I have previously done the following:

3 sub 1522 sub 1 cash sub (send characters to the flash)

and

3 sub 0129 sub 2000 cash 11 cash 12 cash 15 cash 17 cash sub

I still don't get reports I can read in excel.

Sorry, to do the print out in pgm 6 it should prob have been 329 actually (typing faster than i was thinkiing) Its only to do a printout of the 129 settings to check them.

Take the print out and make sure the digit on the left is the 2 and it should do something when you run batch 1. Type key to z and press cash. The only thing i can think of is you dont have enough digits in the 129 code.

edit- from the manual, that code appears to be 24 digits long. I dont have one here, but try it and see.

OK. I got the printout and here is what it says:

Batch 01 0001-29
0000 11-12-15-17-00
00-00-00-00-00
Batch 02 0002-29
0001 11-12-15-17-00
00-00-00-00-00

I tried changing the first number to 2 (following your instructions) and then entering the 11 12 15 17, but it didn't change anything. Should I be pressing 3 st 2 ca 11 ca 12 ca 15 ca 17 ca st? or just 211121517 ca st?

I haven't dug back into the manual, but I do think we are getting warmer.

Also: Here is what the 15-22 looks like 0000040001. I do know how to program those parameters, but I'm not sure what they should be.

Thank you so much for your help. I can't tell you how much I appreciate it.

Cathy

Please revive this thread!!!! !thumbs

Hi, I'm having this same problem. I can't get my daily reports to copy over to my CF card. I tried the above code (along with many other combinations) but when I switch to Program 6 to do a read of 329 (batch x/z) none of the settings change.

Here is exactly what I am doing:
1) Key to Program mode
2) 3, ST
3) 129, ST
4) 2000 CA
5) 11 CA 14 CA 15 CA 17 CA 00 CA 00 CA 00 CA 00 CA 00 CA 00 CA, ST

I know my card is read/writable since I copied over the IPL file onto it.

Any ideas??? !what
