Can anyone help. I can't do any Z reads on my DX 890 it doesn't give me the option to do any Z reports only X reports on the screen. The only thing I had done since the problem was to put a PLU into a Group and then the group into a major group. I have compared these with existing groups and there doesn't seem to be any difference. I thought it might be the printer but it seems to be working, it prints when you do a product information test, though it doesn't want to print normal receipts anymore either.

Sorry not from the midlands, down in Wiltshire. It was on a network originally but it was Z reading fine on its own until I changed something.
