I really need help in Hard Reseting DX-895 and any help is appreciated,


While trying to update the ECR data through PLM there was an comm error and the till got stock saying "In Communication" tried unplugging and all sorts but still gives the same message after restarting, I cannot access to the menu at all to reset it thorough Prog Functions.

I cannot access to till through FTP any either as the IP has also been reset, only Serial Rs232c connection available at the moment, is there any command to send it to Serial directly to force it to reset or if there is any hard reset button.

to reset the till

you need a "S" key turned to the reset position
this is one place further on than Z1/P

turn the till off at the switch on the back right hand side

put your finger in the top left hand side of the screen and turn the till back on keeping your finger on the screen and the key in the same position

the till should beep a couple of times as it comes back on

you can now take your finger off the screen and turn the key back to r

you should get a message on screen saying IR done

if that does not work try

you need a "S" key turned to the reset position

when the blue light comes on
touch bottom left of the screen followed by the top left
the till should beep a couple of times as it comes back on
you will then get a green screen callibration screen touch points a & b
turn the key back to r

you should get the message on screen saying IR done
