Hi; I bought several used Casio TK-6500 registers. Whenever I turned them on and use any of keys(PGM, M, OP, OW), pushing any of the keys on the keyboard will give me E004 error. I have no idea what I am doing. I was able to download: Electronic Cash Register CE-7000, TK-7000/7500, TK-6000/6500, TK-T500 Dealer's Manual Version 1.5 August 2001 in pdf format. It does not tell you anything about how to start the register for the first time or anything. It tells you about programming it, but it requires you to have the 11 digit code??!!!

I would really appreciate any help as to how to get this register up and running. Thank you in advance. Al

Did you try to Clerk In first?

I thought you need the code to clerk in, and I don't know the code.

If there is a code it may print on the flag clear receipt.

Turn your key to OFF, press and hold the "Receipt Key down as your turn the key to PGM mode. Release the "Receipt Key" and in a couple of seconds you should see FFFFFFFFFFF"s on the screen, press the Subtotal key. Turn key back to REG mode.

Look for a four digit code.
