I have a TE-2400 which currently produces the following message "E046 REG Buffer Full". The error occurs exclusively when trying to recall one saved check. Now, this wouldn't be such a problem normally, however I also now can't run the final Z report. The Z19 runs fine, but the final Z report won't run at all - there's no error message at this point, the till simply beeps and does nothing.

So, any advice on fixing this and preventing it happening again would be very much appreciated. FYI, the error first occured during a busy shift when 15 checks were in operation and all of them had maybe a dozen items saved...

The first thing I would do is run a program 5 Read Report.

Turn key to PGM Mode
Press 5 then Subtotal twice.

I believe we will be looking for file 056.

Thanks for the reply. 056 is 100 bytes, followed by 50.

In the process of running this report I stupidly programmed the cash/tend key with the value 5, so now everytime the Cash key is hit 5p is rung off the subtotal. How would I go about resetting the cash key to its original function? (told you I was stupid...)

That happens all the time.
Turn key to PGM press 3 then Subtotal, press the zero key 3 times(000) --> press Cash then press Subtotal. return key to REG Mode.
