Ok, I just noticed that one of my wires is broken right at the solder. I will re-solder and get back to you. I'm going to kick myself if I find out that was the problem. duh!

In case you are all holding your breath.... I am sorry to say that fixing the wire made no difference. I think I'm going to have to break down and pay the tech to show me how to do this.

Hi all! I'm sure I'm the only one that still cares about this, but I thought I'd post an update:

Problem solved! I had the wires to the female connector done up backwards (pin 5 in 1, etc) For those of you that are not aware, the pin-out is reversed between the two ends. Make sure you read the pin numbers on the black part of the connector (like I didn't!) It will save you weeks of frustration.

I am happy to say that I am currently in the process of downloading my ECR and able to make changes at will using PLM2000. Thank you to everyone for your patience and tips!
