ER-380 tax programming

Hi,
Does anyone know if it is possible to program the er-380 so that some items do not include vat?
I currently have the till set so all items are at 20% VAT but there are some items in my shop that are tax exempt!
Any help would be appreciated.

yes, just dont link the plu to a tax group

Ok, maybe things are not quite that simple, I have just realised that all items are not programmed at 20% tax, I have programmed tax shift 1 to 20% but am not sure how to apply it to all plu's (except the vat free items).
Could it be through program 100 (plu status programming) where i could enter the first plu# and the last plu# to receive the same setting? If it is, would I enter 000000000000001 PLU 999999999999999 PLU?
