Hi,

I have just bought a 380m and am having trouble finding the correct PC utility version to upload to the 380M. I have the eprom version 2.5. I can upload the PLU but the price is incorrect by a silly amount. If I manually set the price correct on the till and download to the PC It's a silly number on the PC.
It sounds like I have the incompatible version but can't find a link anywhere to the correct version for my EPROM.
Does anyone know who writes this utility and where to obtain the correct versions?

Many thanks,

Matthew

Thanks,

I have seen this site before and tried all of the versions on this site but despite the apparent tie up of version numbers all of them seemed to mangle either the pricing or other information. I gave up in the end and did it all manually via the till which is ok once you get used to the obscure terminology used by the manual. I use "manual" in the loosest term of the word as it seems to be Korean translated into English via Cantonese.

I even downloaded a version of SAMPOS to try but was equally unimpressed with this.
Poorly written software at a ridiculous price it seemed and not very intuitive to use.

Maybe I have an obscure version of the EEPROM that had it's own version. I guess I should get back to the vendor as they sold me an apparently new till which appears to have been manufactured a couple of years ago.

The till does work but I guess you get what you pay for and I bought a cheap till!
Maybe in a few months time i'll look for something a but more user friendly when I really understand what it is we need from a till.
Still I did enjoy my moment of geekdom getting the RS232 going, haven't used that since the 1990s!

Thanks again

Hi
sorry to hear no luck on the programming.
we sell the er380m's, er390's and other units.
The 380m we hardly sell, instead we either point people to the ER390 or the ER265.
both we have found to be easy to program via pc using the software.
The 265 comes as a raised or flat key variant, has only 15 departments, but easy to work on.
The new softwares of the 390 has a feature where you can import an excel sheet with your PLU's description and prices. prices have to be in a format ie $5.43 is equal to 543.
Did a customers data file of over 2300 PLU's this way, easy and quick.
