Hi

I have just purchased a secondhand Sam4S ER-420M ECR, I cleared RAM and allocated memory. I am now trying to set up vat at 20% as standard and 0% for excempt items. I follow the manual however I do not know what them mean by the Tax shift key.
Can anyone help.
Thanks :(

yes, it's very confusing isn't it?
i've been in tills for 32 years and this book............. lB ;R

what you have to do is allocate a button in s mode [page71 and72] tax shift 1 is code 134.
make a note of the function of the button you overwrite, in order to replace it later.

Hi,
I know how to program tax shift keys etc. but am not sure if I can set 2 different tax rates, I need most items with VAT at 20% (which I currently have set on all items) but I need to add 0% tax for items that are not vatable. Can I program some plu's to have no tax?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks :)

partof the status programming for the plu is which tax rate it is linked to.
if you set it to zero then no tax is calculated.
