Hi.

I have just purchased an ER-5200 and am in the process of trying to configure it. (Being new to the world of ECR - POS I am finding it a bit of a challenge!

I am using the Windows Utility v3.00d and the ER-5200 is 4.1R GOD.

I am attempting to add a graphic logo to the top of the receipt .. however I am stuggling to find the correct image format to allow the conversion to take place.

What ever I try ... it report "File Size Error(File Size to be 384x192).

I have confirmed my graphic is exactly this size in pixels and is Black & White BMP format.

Is there something I am missing? Has anyone come across this before?

I have tried searching the formum, but couldn't find a previous post on this subject.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Kevin.

If you are using the 5200M software then in that their is an option in utility to convert logo.

have you tried that yet?

Yes it is with the conversion utility that i receive the error File Size Error(File Size to be 384x192)

Kevin give this a try..

open up mspaint. create a template Image then attributes make size the recommended size width and height..

then copy and paste your image into it.. save the file as a bitmap..

remember it has to be black n white cant use colours..

then goto logo converter in 5200m software ive just done that with no problems...

Well it seems like the conversion works .. or at least it doesn't show that error any more ... only problem now is ... how do I get it to appear on the receipt? I have tried sending the preamble image ... but it will not replace the existing "your receipt thank you" one!

if you want it to pre print the logo (before receipt is issued)

turn key to pgm

40 subtotal
28 x/time
1
subtotal
cash

if you want it to print when receipt is issued.

40 subtotal
29 x/time
2
subtotal
cash

try both see which you prefer.

Thanks again Peter. It's not that it isn't printing the logo .... it just isn't printing my logo. I have converted it with the utility and saved it .... but how do I upload it to the ER5200.

I have tried uploading all .. but it still prints the default "Your Receipt Thank You" graphic

Can you email me a copy of the logo? Ill have a try on one of our tills

There was a setting in the Print Options to only print the Default Graphic!!!!

yes Guv, thats what i said in message i sent yesterday, enable logo printing lol... did it work then.? i tried your logo on one of our tills and it worked first time..
