ER 5200M 'Register Mode - CLOSED' - E06 TIME ERROR?

Hi Peter - tried that - when i went to download as suggested - I got TILL NOT READY.

When I try to log onto till in S Mode (80 subtotal, 5 X/TIME, 1, Cash, Cash) - the till buzzes at the first key entry and E00 comes up on Pole Screen (Till display still showing SERVICE MODE - CLOSED.....

I'm just thinking, as I've only entered a few groups and PLU's sa a test to make sure i'm doing the right thing ..... is it worth doing a Total Clear and Factory Reset on the Till and starting again? If so - How do I do this? :oops:

Reset till - it now states MEMORY ALLOCATION OK

What next - try downloading the test data again?

Update - all the key positions still show * MODE (whichever mode) CLOSED ..... the buzzer still sounds when you press any keys - ALTHOUGH - the 0-9 keys seem to be available without causing the buzzer!!

where do I go next.... or put the till back on EBAY LOL

Just to update you - resetting the till seems to have cleared the till from being 'CLOSED'

I downloaded the dummy data again (only some groups, plu's, tax) ..... down load seemed to go OK. I got some FILE OPEN ERRORS during download - which I assume were the categories I hadn't entered info for. I also got a COMMUNICATION ERROR - in the middle - which I said OK to and the program carried on downloading.

When the download was finished - the Screen said SERVICE MODE - MISC XXX, nothing happened when i pressed any buttons or changed the key position - So I turned the machine off.

With Key in REGISTER MODE - it no longer showed the till 'CLOSED'. However, the buzzer went no matter what key was pressed!!

One step forward? or One forward and 2 back? LOL

are you using the correct utility?
try programming it manually from a ram clear

make sure there are rolls loaded and the cover is down and locked on the printers
keep the drawer closed.

by default, the clerk buttons are on the top row and to the right

i may be mistaken but i don't think you have to be signed in to operate the till in the service position

failing that, drop me a pm = perhaps we can get further via telephone
