Just got this till and utility software off ebayI..... the lack of information and a help menu amazes me !! I guess thats to stop us trying to sort problems out ourselves and go to a dealer!

I've got the gist of the program and the till settings ... and entered a few trial groups, plu's, tax info etc and downloaded it to the till - all went well until i tried to operate the till after downloading. No matter what position i put the key in - nothing would happen. I turned the machine off - and on again ..... and in all modes the till is CLOSE

Any key (Clerk etc) just results in a beep - E06 on the pop up screen and TIME ERROR.

Any suggestion?

Try setting the time and date and see if that solves your problem

Thanks for the reply Dave, Tried that already ..... when I go to program mode the Till displays 'PROGRAM MODE - CLOSED' .... when you press any key - the buzzer sounds and E00 is displayed on the Pole Display.

Have you signed on the till?? clerk buttons

Which ever position the key is in - the till says its CLOSED. Pressing any buttons just results in a buzzer!

turn to reg and the top 4 buttons on the right are usually clerk buttons 1-4 if not use the software and re-allocate one to the keyboard..

you may also have use a keyboard shft. try doing a flag clear first.. turn till off at the side.. turn key to pgm hold down cash button.. turn back on holding down cash will do an initial clear.. tehn try signing back on .. if not then do as above and re-allocate a clerk button..

1 other thing lol check in software make sure you have put clerk settings in system option to CLERK ENTRY IS PUSH AND NOT CODE

Tried your suggestions Peter.... when I got the till - the layout was with 4 x clerks top right as you said. I received the till and manual before the software - and reset the tiil .... well cleared all the totals as per the manual - so i assume it may have defaulted to the factory layout (not sure what that is!!

Any way I methodically tried each of the buttons in turn (after turning the till on) - but every butten just generates the buzzer and E06 on the pole display.

just loaded the program now as well .... Clerk IS at PUSH

did you try re-allocating a clerk button using the software? go into edit keyboard assign a button then send it to the til (upload to ecr ) the misc option..
