Hi,

I'm trying to connect to the till through POSUtility and have the drawing for the RS232 cable, however, I can't find the standard 9 pin d type connector on the till. Am I not looking hard enough ? The only thing I can find is on the right near the front, which is a din connector. Is this the RS232 port ?

Hi. You need the RS232 comm board which slots in through the panel at the back. It comes with a special control EPROM. They are very hard to find these days. It would be easier to program it on the keyboard of the register.

Hi, thanks for the reply. I've bought the programming manual from this site and reprogrammed the PLU prices. However, I don't seem to be able to change the keys on the till itself to any new PLUs I've added. Any help/advice would be much appreciated.

Also, is it recommended to use the L1/L2 feature to do single/doubles etc ? Like a shift key.

i'd put pints and 1/2's on the keyboard as you will get a proper stock figure, regarding the keyboard you need to turn the key to the srvice position and re-allocate the keyboard ( departments ) then in pgm assign plu's to the departments

so, key=serv 951 . x 1 (press the position on the keyboard you want plu 1 to be assigned to ) press position 2 ( allocate all buttons press TL to finish

please not all srv programming the sub total and tl keys are fixed so use the alpha sheet not the top menu.

then change the depts to plus pgm2 2219 . x 1 x 1 sub total 2 sub total 3 sub total upto max allocated finish by pressing TL

you will now find all the plu's you have created on the keyboard in the sequence you setup.
