Need to look out my 3110 book.
Before you start though, how did it lose all its programming? Did someone do a master reset or was it left unplugged for a while? I'm asking because if the machine has never had the back up battery changed before, the original will be well past its best and could be leaking its corrosive innards all over the main board!

I'll tell you what to do once I get my manual out. It's filed (i.e. I have to find it! Don't get asked about 3110s much now).

Ok. Got manual now.
Did you have your clerk keys on the top line like this: Starting from the left top, Rcpt feed, Journal feed, Clerk 1, Clerk 2, etc.
OR
Starting top left again and working down: Rcpt feed, Clerk 1, Clerk 2, etc.

Ok. To put the clerk keys into those positions, turn the key to the SRV position. Then 950 . X 76 (then press the key position). Then 77 (then press key position). Then press 78 (then press key position), etc up to 81 for the six clerks. Once you've pressed the last key position finish the programming by pressing the TL button.
