Hi I have recently purchased a te-2400 and it has been used in a pub, When I try to change the programming it won't let me change anything, I would like to put it back to factory settings then I could start from scratch. I would be very grateful if anyone could help me.

Hi. You don't want to reset it unless you have to, as this will mean a lot of extra work for you. Better to find out why it won't let you program it.

First of all, do this:

Turn the power off at the wall
Turn the key to PROGRAM
Now keep your finger on the RECEIPT FEED button while you turn the power back on, and keep holding it down for 5 seconds.
Let go, and you should see "FFFFFFFFF" on the display
Press SUBTOTAL
Wait for print out.

On the print out, near the bottom, you should see "FC" on the left, and then a number on the right.
Tell me what that number is, and I can help you further.

Hi I have the same problem and it is really annoying me. I have bought this register from a friend and i just want to reset everything and start fresh. I have done the Reciept Feed process to reset it, but when i put the PGM key to PGM mode so i can set the date it just has a 01 in the top left corner, and then lets me enter numbers only as if i was making a sale.

On the receipt feed print out it reads FC: EC080000080006
Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks
