Yes, the key is in the appropriate P1 or P2 position when I try to do things as per the manual. The strange thing is it seems to 'almost' work. For example, my first intention was to just change the price and name associated to various keys. I have changed the price OK, that obliterated the already progarmmed name on that key. I then tried to change the name, all seemed to go OK but when I wanted to put in any alpha above 'f' an error occured. So I tried to just call a product 'abc' that just did not seem to save. I was useing the quick set up guide. I then thought I would erase all settings, so refering to the manual did the P2 JF and RF whilst switching on, a few feet of paper later I thought this is not correct. My present thoughts are there is something fundamental I am doing wrong or there is something about this till (hence the idea of a resent to start again). I have seen on another post someone else cold only access a-f on the alpha key layout but I could not find a reply. By the way, this is a flat keyboard. The till will be use by a voulantary organisation to run a 'cafe' so a call out fee for an engineer is just out of the question. We inherited the till and it certainly would be a great asset if we could only use it. Thanks
Just noticed, I am useing the alpha letters as designated on the programming layout not any codes to put alpha characters in. Not too sure what youmean by putting codes in for letters however.
