I cannot mange to do anything progam prices, descriptors, i cant seem to program the plu status so what i can make out it will no let me assign prices to the plu's. Also I cant seem to be able to log in as a clerk to be able to try any plu's it just says sign on and then when i enter the code which is what i thought i had set it up to it says range over, i have been trying to sort this for 2 days now. any help i am very very very grateful, i have tried all the codes eg 200 subtotal, plu, then x/time, price/halo
none of it seems to work

ok - so are we saying its a blank canvass?
if so, we need to start at the very beginning.
i need to know what type of business its going to be used in
if its a bar/restaurant, the memory allocation for table numbers, items per check and check type will be favoured
if its retail then memory for number of plus and mix n match will be favoured

it is going to be used in a bar, but there will not be any need for tables etc just literally drinks and thats it, it was a blank canvas but attempts to program it might have changed this, so may need to clear it?? will i be able to program it fairly quickly as my bar opens tomorrow night :-/
thanks

ok, first things first. have you a mental picture of where yoiu want your products to be?
if not, lets get the thing into a state that allows you to program on your own.
pm me your e-mail address and i will send you a few examples [they are from a 7000 so please ignore the right hand side of the layout]
you have 117 places to program your hard plus [120 at a push]
depending on the number of products you have, halves and doubles can be on the same keyboard level or be programmed on either a second keyboard level [recommended] or different price level [quicker - but your accountant will have a headache]

lowestoft is a bit of a trek for me to come to help in person

check your message folder

hi yes from the top left corner i was going to start with the soft drinks and then beer etc going through to shorts to shots i think it would be easier if the halfs were put on a seperate button, as we dont really have that many drinks. i will PM my email addy
