Hi,

You're right - after resetting those flags, the Z report generates correctly.

Is it possible to include the details of every item sold on the report?

I tried resetting that flag on the other till, but it didn't seem to help. I'll wait for the setup procedures and have another go.

Many thanks,

Paul

Departmeny sales should print on full Z report. If your sales are plu sales another report would print these (RLS PLU)

On second register you need to know eprom type. It should print details if you carry out another ram clear. Eprom code should be two sets of 4 characters (alpha-numeric)

You might need to set maximums on the second register. Get these from other register in P2 mode Start, Sel, Sel, Print (i think) You should see 'maximum' on display before printing.

Then enter these on other register. When you see 'maximum' press input. You should enter Depart value and input. Same for all. Next print out flag settings and try cashier again

Flag 48 bit 7 would also stop departments printing on Z report. Set flag to 00000000

I've aquired one of these machines and have user guide and it refers to a "price change key" and a "name change key" when in "V" mode. I cant find any trace of this key on the keyboard layouts I have. All I'm trying to reprogram the plu's prices and descriptions as they are fully programmed with medical descriptions and prices, can anyone point me in the right drection?

thanks

pete

Price and Name change keys are optional on keyboard and they can be programmed to your keyboard using codes 6B(Price) and 6C(Name) providing the eprom installed on your logic board supports them.
Bear in mind that these features can be used to change department and plu's which exist on the keyboard only.

Hi,

For the first till, I think it is a PLU report I want. Thing is, I can't work out how to generate it. I haven't got a "PLU Report" key.

I have now got a programming manual - it was on this site all along, I'd just missed it. I've managed to update the text printed on receipts. The first till is very nearly exactly how I want it.

The second till printed this during the RAM clear:
NO.01 ROM 3551
NO.02 ROM 2161
Is that the EEPROM number?

I tried entering the maximums; was successful after a bit of experimentation. However, still the same problem.

Flag 6 was set to 10000000; I've set it to 0. Still the same problem.

I'm wondering if I need to do some initialisation, like creating departments, PLUs and cashiers?

Any help appreciated,

Paul

A plu report is issued by pressing two buttons - RLS followed by PLU (Or any plu product that might be on keyboard)
If you don't have these then you could set up the report table section (under P1) to auto issue a report.

When you set the maximums I assume depts, plu, cashier, clerks etc were done. Use flag printout from good register to check flag settings in other. Make sure they all match.
No need to program depts/plus until you are sure register is working

Hi,

Thanks for your advice, I'm getting much closer with these.

The first till, I've assigned an RLS button and can now generate a PLU sales report. So, my end of shift procedure will be to generate a PLU sales report, then a Z1 report. I think that's exactly what I need.

The second till, I've made the flags match the first, and it now seems to be nearly working - I can select a clerk at least. When I press a PLU button, it just says "not programmed". The key is mapped to PLU001, but I guess I need to program the PLU?

Yes the plu needs to be linked to a department in order to work

Hi,

Ok, that's mostly done it. I've got my PLU keys programmed up, receipts customised, and I've reprogrammed the keys to match the other till.

There's just one problem left... the cash drawer doesn't open on the second till.

I've seen it open, before I reprogrammed the flags, so I don't think it's a mechanical problem. I make sure flag 44 was set correctly, to open the draw when cash is specified. I wonder, have I somehow triggered a global "don't open the drawer" setting?

Regards,

Paul
