just spent quite some time fathoming out this beastie without a manual.
As the program is quite large, is there any way to back it up onto my pc?

There is no memory card in the front slot and i cannot find the "david" utility anywhere on the web.
is there any way to save this precious data through its network connection before I let the operators loose with the till?

Get yourself a flashcard, it's the quickest and cheapest option. It must be 16mb ATA as the register won't recognise anything larger
