Linking Geller SX-680 Till to PC

Hi There,

Can someone please help, I am trying to link a Geller SX-680 till to a pc I have made a cable which connects to comm 2 on the till to a db9 interface.

I have created a connection in hyperterminal using baud rate of 9600, data bits 8, parity none and stop bits 1 I leave the 680 in R mode i get a connection but i am not sure how to communicate to the till. Is this the correct method i am using? What commands do i type in?

The version of sx-680 is the one with raised keys.

Any help would be great.

Hi,

Unfortuantely you cannot communicate via Hyper Terminal. You would need a piece of Geller software called David Utilites, but i believe it's only available form approved Geller Dealers.

Is there any other way to communicate to the comm port without using David Utilites? Is there any other third party software or could i write some software to do this?

Unfortuantely there is nothing I know of to communicate with this model.
