I have setup for PLU's:

1000 Product
1001 Product TakeAway (I want this to be Mod Key1)
1002 Product 6 Pack (I want this to be Mod Key 2)
1003 Product Carton (I want this to be Mod Key 3)

I have assigned PLU 1000 to NLU Button 1 <== This works

I would like to use the modifer keys to select whether it is a single sale, a takeaway sale, 6pack Sale or Carton sale.

I have setup Mod Key 1 as follows:

Affect PLU# (checked)
Affect Digit of PLU (4)
Value of Affected Digit (1)

I have setup Mod Key 2 as follows:

Affect PLU# (checked)
Affect Digit of PLU (4)
Value of Affected Digit (2)

I have setup Mod Key 3 as follows:

Affect PLU# (checked)
Affect Digit of PLU (4)
Value of Affected Digit (3)

If I want to Select the TakeAway sale I believe I should be pressing Mod1 then NLU1, however this isn't working.

Am I completely missing something?

Any ideas?

Cheers

Kevin

modifier 2 should be 2000 upwards and 3000 upwards for modifier 3

Thanks Peter

So what is the idea of the "Affect Digit of PLU" then if it has to be the first digit that is modified? :?

Very confusing! !unsure

The digit to be modified is from right to left

Eg.
1005: 1st is 5, 4th is 1

having the 4th as a 1 is fine, a problem only usually occurs if you have the 3rd digit modified

Eg.
PLU 2 would become 102, but this plu is already used on the layout.

As you have already assigned NLU 1000 to the keyboard then you will have to use the range 2000,3000,4000

So for your products you would need to program them as follows:
1000 Product
2000 Product TakeAway (Mod Key1)
3000 Product 6 Pack (Mod Key 2)
4000 Product Carton (Mod Key 3)

Another example:
1028 Product
2028 Product TakeAway (Mod Key1)
3028 Product 6 Pack (Mod Key 2)
4028 Product Carton (Mod Key 3)

Mod Key 1 as follows:

Affect PLU# (checked)
Affect Digit of PLU (4)
Value of Affected Digit (2)

Mod Key 2 as follows:

Affect PLU# (checked)
Affect Digit of PLU (4)
Value of Affected Digit (3)

Mod Key 3 as follows:

Affect PLU# (checked)
Affect Digit of PLU (4)
Value of Affected Digit (4)

Hi Dave

Thanks for you explanation ... we have now worked out all our PLU's so they work with that combination.

Cheers
