Hi again, I found an answer to an old problem that sounds the same, I turned off the till, Turned Key to SP
Type in 9901 x . (Ram clears all the data from the till)
Press Clear
Type 9906 x 5 . (this sets up the standard program for the UK)
Press Clear.

An initail reset is as follows.

Turn key to SP
Turn the till off (power)
Hold down 3 keys (goto the bottom left hand corner. Go 3 rows up, hold that button, the button next to it and the button next to that down)
Turn the till back on while holding those 3 keys down.
When you hear the 3/4 bleeps from the till till remove your fingers from the keyboard.

Now when it started it now has loads of ?????????????????????? on the top of the screen, what have a done wrong guys??

Thanks Andy, luckly thats what I wanted as the till was all in Spanish, full of the old owners stuff.....however I have taken the easy route and paying someone to do it for me!! I have to say I paid to download a "Simple" programming guide from you know who..........., well if thats an easy one, I hate to think what a "hard" one is!!!

So I think to pay 80euros to get my till programmed may be an easier option this time around and once I have learned what to do, I think it should be 80euros well spent!! My only problem I have Andy is I was told by the Till dude he has to take my till away and it seems I then have no control of what is happening to it, but I would guess I have some kind of guarantee if I should press the wrong button, but time will tell!!

Thanks again for your help......... !welcome

HE HAS TO TAKE IT AWAY BECAUSE IT IS GOING TO TAKE HOURS FOR HIM TO PROGRAM!
THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS AN "EASY PROGRAMMING GUIDE" WHEN IT COMES TO UNIWELL

HOWEVER, NAMES AND PRICES WILL BE RELATIVELY SIMPLE ONCE IT HAS THE BASICS SET!

WHILE HE HAS IT, I WOULD STRONGLY URGE YOU TO ASK HIM TO EDIT THE WARNING MESSAGES INTO SOMETHING MORE MEANINGFUL THAN "WARN MESSAGE 15" [OR ANY OTHER]

ENJOY YOUR MACHINE WHEN IT RETURNS - I HONESTLY BELIEVE THAT YOU HAVE MADE THE CORRECT DECISION
