Hi Mark

No joy. Found the lever and tried that. Drawer opened and closed ok, but still nothing happened when I tried to log on.

Also tried the number pad in S mode. Still got the single 0..

Hmm. It's at this point that I would start to substitute parts. I'm still guessing the keyboard is at fault at this stage. Are you keen to go inside the machine and try a few things?

Hi Mark

I have nothing to lose at this point. The machine is not working and living on an island, I can't get anyone to come and look at it. So I'll give it a try.

Ok Valerie. I've sent you a personal message with more instructions (You should see "1 new message" next to your name at top left of screen).

Can you send me another link to download?
Thank you in advance

Ok Valerie. On this model, you cannot program clerk names. You will need to allocate a number from 1 to 7 to your staff. The receipt and journal will only print the clerk number on each sale.

I have put together a couple of programming sheets, and an alpha code list, which you will need when entering characters. Read through them, and make sure you can find the necessary buttons on the keyboard. The operating instruction page was for a particular customer, so there may be some differences, but it should give you most of what you need to know.

i see from the other posts that you can help with information about omron cash registers. i recently bought an omron rs 25. it is programmed already and i need to reprogram it for my needs. it did not come with a manual. is there anywhere i can get a manual? or, can you, perhaps, help me? i need to program specific services and products to specific depts. and, also, program my business name. i would appreciate any help you can give me, please email me direct at mailboxfriends@verizon.net or reply here. thank you so much! cheryl

Hi Phavio.
I need to know more about your problem. can you make sales on the machine? Do the keys beep at all when pressed? Can you log a clerk on (green triangle at left end of display)?

If none of these can be done, then you may need a half, or full reset. This is common if you haven't had the internal batteries changed before they go flat. Do you have a service key (this is a key that can turn past P mode to where there is nothing written - a hidden mode. NEVER PRESS ANY BUTTONS WHILE IN THIS MODE!!!!! Just try your keys to see if any will turn to there, then turn them straight back to REG mode.

Please try to answer my questions as accurately as you can, then I can help.

Mark
