We have aquired a new ECR (NTS S9000) which we believe is the equivalent of the Uniwell NX5400 type 2. I have made up a cable following directions found in PLM 2000 v2.3:

I have also made sure that SF66, SF91 & SF92 are set as advised on this forum.
Com Port 2 is the only port that attempts to communicate with the ECR (all others from 1 - 8 give an immediate com port error). Baud rate is set to 38400. SF66 set to 01000000 (is this correct for 38400?)

However, after the PC seems to be trying to set Time & Date for several seconds I get an ECR Time-out error.
What key position should one be in for the Initial Reset?
Am I right in holding down keys 3, 8 & 13 while switching the power on?
What else should I try?
