SPS 2000 Link Ups

Postby klmbars on Sat Mar 03, 2018 8:10 pm

Hi, This is my first post here, im hoping you may be able to help.

I have took over a bar and it currently has 2 SPS 2000's. One is a version 1 and the other a version 2. The only visual difference is the Dallas key is bigger on the version 2.

My question is that these are not linked up, is there any possible way of having the 2 linked on Ethernet or to be able to program one of them and copy the entire set up to the other? I was told by the previous bar owner that these couldn't be linked together?

Any advice would be helpful.
thanks
mike

you cannot link them - its the software thats different - the dallas key is an optical illusion lol - they are identical.
the plu structure will corrupt the tills unless you find someone brave [or stupid] enough to flash them to the same version eprom.
[get it wrong and you have a brick!]

Is it possible to copy the products over from 1 to another via a USB stick?
