Just purchased a used XE-A102 but cannot get it to work. It is illuminated and 0.00 is showing.
I have taken out the batteries and started it, it bleeps three times and L 0.00 comes up. I then replace the batteries but nothing works. Can anyone make any suggestions what I am doing wrong. Thanks.

Hi have you tried pressing the Cl button to clear the screen after reset??

try resetting again.. take batteries out turn off and on.. once beeps stop press the x/tm button then the cl button to clear the screen.

nothing else to do when resetting should just work.. also make sure your not pressing decimal point when entering an amount to sell..

I've had this recently too. I thought it was the keyboard membrane (Sharp have recalled a whole lot of faulty ones) but it is now looking like main board failure. If you got the three beeps, should definitely be able to press numbers on the numeric pad and see them on the display
