hi guys
i have casio ce-3800 and it stoped working before xmas first of all it showed me EO3 and then took it to some1 to repair it but he couldnt and 5 mins later the screen went off but its still make sound so i dont know what is wrong with it.
can any1 please give me some help i would apreciate it.

Hi. If the screen goes blank, but the keys beep when pressed, then it is almost certainly a printer problem. Most Casio registers test the printer at turn on and will not light up the display until the printer has done one turn.

Are you sure this is a CE-3800? According to my notes, this model has a built in CR-910 printer. Perhaps it has the wrong model number on it. Are you able to take a photo of it? I might be able to recognise what it is.

Right. It is a rare model that we don't have, but it is similar to many of our models. You certainly have a printer though. It is under the cover on the left side. Lift the lid and check for paper jams on the receipt and journal side. Otherwise, the other common fault with those printers is gear failure. The little plastic gears are falling to pieces on most of them now. Since they are 20+ years old, there are few if any parts available. It might pay to go for a new one.
