Is there a way to configure a product to automatically print on the receipt printer on an SX-700? (in the same way that you can make it automatically print on a KP).

Page 151 of the operators manual, suggests that the receipt printer can also be set up as a KP, but doesn't state how.

This needs to happen on only a couple of products.

Thanks in advance for any help with this.

Depends what printer your using as a receipt printer. WHat is the printer and is it connected via irc, serial or ethernet?

Thanks for your response, the till is a TP-422 and it is probably connected via serial. We don't have ethernet cards in the tills. (Can they be upgraded?). I will confirm this when I go in tomorrow.

The printer is connected to one of 3 tills and they all use it as the receipt printer.

I also think that we only have the managers code, not the engineer code at the moment.

TP422 can also be used as a dispense printer.

You probably need to tell flag 40 in system function flags that KP1 exists. Then link each PLU to print on KP1.

Thanks for your help.

A different printer is bound to KP1. I don't know the engineers code to change these settings.

Thanks for all of your help.

I moved the key to the SP position, entered the engineers code and pressed Clerk ID, All I got were 2 of the normal menus that I get with the managers key in the Z/P position. (Program Functions and IRC Program Functions).

There weren't any extra items in the menus.

1 of 2 things -

1. Go into program functions by pressing enter

2. Your not using the engineers code 25****55. If your code does not have the options to change anything in programming these options might be blank.

Once in you need to goto SP-113-System Function Flags. Flag 40 will allow you to turn the printer on as a KP.

I got the engineers code from the book on this site, and when I type it in, at the top of the screen it states Engineers Menu (or something similar), and the colours are a bit different.

But for some reason all I get is 2 of them menus I get using the Managers Key in the Z/P position.

I'll have another try with the other 2 terminals when I get a free moment.

When you put the engineers code in, in SP mode you only get Program Functions and IRC Prog Functions.

Press Program Functions and a list of options will appear on the left. If you enter the wrong clerk code then you may get NO OPTIONS.
