Programming PLU's and Departments TOWA SX 580

Hi All,

Please can someone help me as I need to make some urgent changes to current PLU's and the addition of new PLU's and Departments.

I usually use my operating manual but I suspect that this has been thrown away, I have been searching for days. My memory is not the greatest so have attempted to program blind but keep on getting error beeps.

Please can someone tell me how to do the above or where I am able to obtain a operating manual.

PS. I have the flat key model if it makes any difference

Have a keyboardprinter.com layout package, but i have is a geller sx 580 flat keyboard machine, just wondered if you have a layout program?

Hi All

Just wondered if anyone had the code for changing the receipt message on a geller sx 580 plus also to change the scrolling message on the screen as well....

Hi John,

Turn key to P
Press 7
Input line number (1 to 9) to change on receipt
Press RET
Type new message on alpha keys
Press CHECK STUB

For scrolling message,

Turn key to P
Press 6
Input message number (1 to 5) there are 5 available scrollers.
Press RET
Type new message on alpha keys (42 chars available)
Press CHECK STUB

For the receipt header how can numeric values be entered? is the a toggle button from alpha to numeric? the main numeric keys dont work. I am trying to enter our goods and services tax number.

Hi Knucksam,
To enter a number within a name, try using the character codes

0 = 30
1 = 31
and so on up to
9 = 39

I haven't used character codes on this model, so let me know if it works
