When a customer asks for the check, I select the table on the table view screen then push subtotal.
This does not print the check. Any suggestions?

Also, how do you use the "Table Receipt" and "Receipt" icons on the left side of the screen?
Thanks!

I guess I have to use the "Receipt" button to print a guest check.

Right now, it prints:

Plu1
Plu2
Total Tax
SRVC TL

But the SRVC TL does not include the tax amount. How to print a grand total then?

I know these are basic questions but we are new to the QT6600 and epos programming in general.
Thanks -Mike

Is there anyway to print SRVC TL amount with a regular font size instead of the double font size it is printed right now?
I am referring to the actual numerical value.
Appreciate any feedback. Thanks.

When you say SRVC TL amount, do you mean the receipt printer or the Kitchen Printer?

Hi Kevin,

I mean the receipt printer. The receipt that the customer sees before finalization.
After they see their total amount including tax on the receipt, the customer pays by cash or charge at which point we can finalize.
This is just the normal practice for a table serve restaurant.

Thanks.

Mike,

Try Mode <PGM 3>
1.Machine Features
5. General Features
Machine Control 3
Down toward the bottom look for "Vertical Double size receipt" and change the setting to NO and hit <ESC> to save.

Sometimes its hard to find what you are looking for in the general features.
So Casio has added a search feature. Give it a try:
When you are in the "General Feature" screen hit the search key and type in the word "Vertical" or "receipt" . A list should pop up, just pick the one you want from that screen.

Kevin

Kevin,

Thanks for the suggestion. I am trying to change a different setting though.

If you can look at page 50 of the QT6000 user manual (QT6600 manual does not show an example), there you will see a temporarily finalized check.
The number 131.00 is double sized. Is there a way to change this to normal size?

Alternatively, that example does not show a tax add-on to the balance.
I need to add-on FL 6% sale tax to the balance of a temporarily finalized check (printed) so that the customer knows how much to pay.
Thanks.

Just so I am clear, which one are we talking about. A QT6600 or QT6000?
The reason being is the search method I described above is only on the QT6600.

I am guessing you are using the NB (new balance) key to say the orders? (and send them to the kitchen printer.) assuming you are using a kitchen printer.

If so you will need to get into:
Mode<PGM3>
3. keyboard
7. Function Key
Press the NB key

At he the very bottom you will find tax calc.
Change this to Temp.

Kevin

Kevin, it works! Thank you so much!

Yes, I am using the QT6600 and the NB key for orders.

Thanks again!
