Hi,

I have 3 x QT6000 and an installation of CV-33 software. I am just trying to set things up. I have got as far as setting the first till to be ID 01 and acting as the DHCP server. All of the tills are attached to a new router, as is the PC with the software.

I have got as far as sending a PLU file to the till which is the server, but i can't get the other two to accept the file.

It took me a while to realise that using the router as the DHCP and using ID 2,3 and 4 for the tills meant that I could not communicate from the software at all. I now have till 1 (server) at 192.168.1.0; till 2 at 192.168.1.50; till 3 at 192.168.1.51; the router at 192.168.1.100 and the PC at 192.168.1.10. All of the devices are registered on the router and seem to be connected to the network.

On the till 1 screen in the communication settings it only identifies itself on the list, where the other two tills show themselves and the other two, so this could be the problem.

So does anybody know how to make all three tills receive the file rather than just one.

Thanks for your help.

The easiest way is to re-initialize that main terminal and it should find the other units automatically. After it finds the other terminals just go to auto program and send the files directly from the main terminal.

Hi, Kevin - That sounds interesting - Where is 'auto program' on a till or on the software?

By the way - I have one fundamental that i might be missing - In the CV-33 do i need to do a single branch and all the tills will be reprogrammed on a single file send or do i need one branch (with different settings) for each till and send once for each one.

Thanks for your help.

When you press the "Mode" key on your QT6000 you should see a window open with keys like "REG" "RF" "MANAGER" "CF CARD" and there should be one for "AUTO PGM" if it is not there try logging in as a different clerk/manager, because your permissions don't allow that clerk. If you need to change clerk permissions, you will do that in PGM3, clerks and look for mode control.

You can not send the files to all terminals at the same time from the CV program. I would just click on copy branch from the top menus icon. Hover over it and you will find one that looks like a house. Then just make two more copies and name them 1, 2 and 3. You can use the same branch if you like and just change the terminal number, but if that first branch gets corrupted you will have a couple of fresh branch copies available.

Also make a backup by clicking "File" "Options" the Backup. This makes a backup folder on your PC.

Since the CV programs don't really have a status bar to show you it is busy it is recommended to give the program extra time to finish processing commands. "Slow clicking"

Kevin

Hi Kevin, That's great info - thanks. I am going to try another session on Monday and hopefully start to make some progress.

Thanks again,

Magnus
