Hi,

I am trying to connect a QT6000 to a PC with CV33 software. I am using a crossover cable and can ping the ip address successfully from the command prompt. Therefore having connectivity?

But when I try and upload/download from CV33 is gives an error saying 'Error 9997. Unknown machine type or no profile.' The branch profile has TCP/IP box ticked.

Anybody got any ideas?

is your cv33 set to the same ipl as is on the till? You have got the model type set correctly?

Casio recommend you dont use crossover cables with this machine btw. i dont recall ever having a problem, but thought id mention it.

Thanks for the reply. Yep everything is set correctly. The bit I don't get is that I can ping the QT6000 and get a reply. But the CV33 software just won't talk to it!?

Any other ideas?

When setting up your QT6000 on the branch settings you have to put in the correct IPL which is on the machine then you have to put in the MAC code in as well. Unfortantly this machine doesn't like using crossover leads so if you could get a small switcher and connect that way it should work. If you have any problems come back to me on it
