We have a problem where the till (Sam4S) remembers barcodes. To explain, Samstock allows only one ECR/Barcode code per item, but as this changes (perhaps same product has a different barcode) the till remembers a historical barcode. These items are shown on an X report as "Unfound Product Code", and results in the financial reports being not quite perfect.

I think I need to remove all items from the till, and send them all back via Samstock.

Can anyone offer me some advice? The company I purchased the system from seem to have closed so I cant get advice from him!

What model till are you using?

the reason for the unknown items is because you have deleted them from samstock.
if you delete them from samstock BEFORE you have run out of them - ie you sell one through the till, samstock does not know what to do with them.

it is adviseable not to delete the barcodes as they change as some are often reused - cigarettes, beer cans and confectionery are the worst culprits!

as you have now removed them from samstock, you have no choice but to delete the plu file from the till and resend the data in its entirity from the pc as you correctly stated in the beginning. How you do this depends on the model of cash register that you are using

To add to Andys comments, deleting products from Samstock will also make historical product sales reports incorrect.
