Does anyone know where I can get a replacement srv key for a sharp ER-A570, also is there a simple programming guide? I have bought a second hand ER-A570 and want to change the preset key product description and prices

dont need a service key to change plu's descriptors and prices
just need the pgm key
look at a reg key then a x key can you see the difference? simply widen the difference further about 2mm at a time till the key goes where you need it

Ok I have managed to change the logo, time and tax rate, can you let me know which programming jobs I have to look at in programming manual to change the preset product descriptions and prices on each button, thanks

2214 . x plu number x description ST TL does the description
1210 . x plu number x price ST TL does the price. No decimal point for the price.

Note that where i put plu number, you need to type in the product number. To get an idea of what they are , try 1200 x TL to do a full plu printout.

Use pgm2 and the programming keyboard for this.

, I've managed to reprogram the prices and PLUs, thanks for your help, just a couple of small things left to do now:

1. how can I find out which button can be used to switch between the 2 different prices for each PLU?

2. I have set tax1 to 21% and renamed it 'VAT', is it possible to display the vat rate on the receipt?

3. Is it possible to print out the VAT break down on the receipt i.e. lets say I make a sale at EUR12.10, is it simple enough to set the cash register up so it prints on the receipt EUR10.00 and VAT EUR2.10 then the total 12.10?

Hey. You can make your own srv key by removing the small step on the highest part of the key (on the inside) - it should be stright up on the inside. BUT you must know what to do with the srv key - otherwise you can make something that you might regret Master reset i.e.
