Hello, I was in here a couple of months ago asking for help, but it seemed as though the register was broken, our current one is unusable, so I now have to try fix this.
At the moment when I switch the register on it says memory alloc, when I press cash or any of the number keys I get a 7, every subsequent time I press a number or the cash key I get another 7, so:
00.07,
00.77,
07.77,
77.77

that's as far as I have gone, any other key pressed makes the screeching noise.

I tried to sign on a clerk and it makes the screeching noise and says PLU no data error i think.

I am not sure what to do now, all we need to do with this register is type in cash values and print receipts, no scanner or anything needed.
At the moment I am letting the battery charge for a bit
Please can you help me make this register usable again :)
Thank you

Prian.

first thing that i would do is gently prize out the #7 button in case its stuck down

next turn the c key to s mode and hold down second button up on the rhs
power off the machine, pause [2seconds?] power on still holding down the second button up. After [2 seconds?] release the button and in this order, touch top left button, bottom left button top right button then cash.
pause [10-15 seconds?] then hit cash again.
next, [assuming thus far has not produced a 7!] program date and time - DO NOT SKIP THIS STEP!
next turn key to reg and enter 1 into clerk id

if this does not work, it's truly stuffed!
