Hi there i had this till working at my other business fine with the pc utility software it comes with but today i reset the ram so that i could use it in my other shop. but all i am getting is errors on the pc utility software for example when i try to add new plu i get unable to initialize DAO/Jet db engine. then it opens up the plu editor but when i try to save and exit or save and new or even cancel i get PluPgm MFC Application has stopped working. when i try to downprogram the Financial Message i get comm file size error. Could Someone please help me as this is really driving me mad. i'm using windows 7 32bit and have used the same os when it worked before.

i would start by reinstalling the utility, it sounds like corruption there.
also, when you ram cleared the till, did you then set up one of the comms ports for pc communication?

Hi there thanks for the quick reply. I reinstalled the software three times but same problem. And yes I have set both port 1 for the Pc and port 2 for the scanner. It was working before without any problems.

WHEN YOU REINSTALLED, DID YOU ALSO MANUALLY DELETE THE 420 DATA FOLDER THAT THE PROGRAM CREATES WHEN USED?
DID YOU REINSTALL THE SAME VERSION AS YOU UNINSTALLED?

I'M JUST THROWING IDEAS IN THE AIR HERE -I DON'T USUALLY BOTHER WITH THE UTILITY FOR THESE TILLS - THEY ARE EASY ENOUGH TO PROGRAM MANUALLY
