Hi i have the above register and use it in my off license. I have scanned all the goods in my shop and used the sam4s er 5200 series PC programming utility to name items under categories eg tobacco, general goods Beers etc. The problem im having is when i run the end of day totals its prints out every transaction rather then a total for all items listed under each category. Any help would be appreciated as i am using a roll of paper every time i do a shift change.

the only way it would read out all transactions would be from an electronic journal

as that machine has an audit printer, i very much doubt that theres an ej set up

if on the other hand, you mean all the products, then you are performing a plu reading rather than a group reading?

i'm trying to second guess you here - never a good way to give advice

just for a shift change, you only need to do a financial report.
