Hi,

I have made a mistake with the Authorisation levels which you can set in the PGM mode for staff!!

I added an authorisation level 2 which I was going to allocate to myself so that I have access to more settings in the PGM mode, such as the Employee section etc, so the other staff members could not access this information.

The problem I have is that I did it the wrong way round! I went into the Authority level button in the employee section in the PGM mode, and changed the settings of level 1 and created level 2 with access to more functions, which I was going to use myself. I then came out of this page and was then locked out myself! as I had not changed my authorisation status to level 2 first!! So we are all now still on level 1 authorisation, and even I cant get into the Employee button in the PGM mode as it says - INVALID AUTHORITY LEVEL!

Does anyone know what I can do?????

Any ideas, would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Paul !Head

there is a "get out of jail free" code that involves cris-crossing the numeric keypad in a specific order [picture the red bits of a union flag]
rules disallow the exact posting but theres enough of a clue there for you to crack it in a few tries

Thanks for that.

I am also trying to programme it so that I can open a table number, put some drinks/food on it and then close it so that the customers can pay later. Do you know which function keys you have to use to do this?

Plus, I have dallas keys which I'd like to use, I have issued each staff member a dallas key in the employee section, and clicked YES in the s mode to allow clerk interrupt, but when a log on with a staff members key, I can seem to hold and sign on with another staff members key at the same time. Do you know how I do this?

Cheers

Paul

Hi, Me again!!

I have sorted the dallas key options (inc clerk interrupt)

But I now have the error message - OFF LINE!

So it wont even let me log on, as it just beeps and says OFF LINE!

The reason it gives for this in the manual is - IRC communications have gone off line, check the cable network.

What does this mean, and what can I do to sort it out?

Thanks in advance!

Paul :D

in s mode under systems options, the till number is not set to hold its own clerk interrupt or table tracking data.
in short the machine is looking for another till linked to it and cant find one - hence "off line"

Hi,

Thanks very much for the above :D

I dont suppose you know which function buttons I would use to enable me to OPEN a table number, put someones food and drink on it, and then close the table number again so that its stored away so the customer can pay later, by recalling the table number back up onto the till for the customer to pay?? Do you know how I would set this up?

Also our message isn't printing on the till receipt printer. ie The name and number etc of the business on the top of the receipt. I have entered all the info I want on it in the messages section, but it's just not printing it. Is there something I need to switch on or change so that this message starts to print? The order etc is printing just not our header and footer of the receipt!

If you could help with the 2 things above, It would be much appreciated! I'll be able to start using it, once I sort the above things out!!!

Thanks very much in advance,

Paul

Hi,

Does anyone know why my receipt printer is printed each and evry transaction that is made on the till, even when the receipt is set to OFF. I have even set it as NO in the programme bit which says - Do you want a receipt to print automatically! I dont understand why it is doing it.

When I print a bill, or past receipt etc, it prints it fine with the pre/post message I have set to print on the receipt. But its printing a receipt every transaction that is mage and this receipt doesn't even have the pre/post amble message on like the proper receipts have!

I am confused as to why its continually printing every transaction made, and even without our business message on!! Can anyone please help me??

Many Thanks,

Paul :?

Sounds like its printing to the "kitchen" printer. If you don't have a kitchen printer then make sure this is not listed and if it is disable it.

if not a kitchen printer, check that you have not inadvertantly turned on an audit printer
This will indeed print every single transaction.

I have attached "Sam4s sps-2000 program" manual which may help for the beginners to use it.
