Sam4s SPS-2200 fault

Postby redun69 on Tue Dec 06, 2016 11:50 am

Strange issue has happened since a recent till move, everytime you power the till down it reverts back to default settings as if it has been factory reset.

It was originally running v1.00 but this has since been updated to the latest version.

I can enter all the configuration and then back it up to USB but not a great scenario if staff leave it to the last minute to complete the restore!

I know there is an internal battery that is marked on the back of the till to be checked in August 2016, I have ordered a new battery incase that is the cause.

Has anyone seen a similar issue or have any guidance apart from buying a new till?

This is not an issue with v1.18d, this issue is caused by the battery not being charged enough to support the backup procedure.

Hi guys

I spent 5 hours today redesigning the different sections on our till/product names/prices etc. Everything worked fine! However I left and came back a few hours later, with the till on standby, went to look and everything had gone. All the changes I made had disappeared and the till was back to how it was the day before/before I changed things.

Do you think this is a battery issue too?

The till is always plugged into the mains so I'm not sure how it could be not charged enough?

Any info/ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Tatian
