Hi guys, I have purchased the above till. I've managed to clear the memory as it was in use at a garden centre and I need it for a pub.

I'm having difficulty in programming in:
Drinks, both names and prices
Open keys for drinks and food
Receipt print after a sale has gone through
and the cash keys, £5, £10, £20

I've also learned that if say table 1 would like a drinks tab, I can store the parties drinks until the end of the evening and then print them off? That's something I'd like to do as well.

I've managed to programme products in before, but now when I start, it is saying level and won't let me go any further. The manual just confuddles me beyond belief!

Any help out there, as everywhere i've been has drawn a blank!!!!

Many thanks in advance.

in order of questions asked:
turn key to p
100 subtotal
plu number to be programmed into the plu button
[or touch the product to be programmed]
x/time
follow the on screen prompts for the data that you are entering -eg status,price1 price2 descriptor, dept link etc. till you get to output - at that point press cash [only once if you are going to program another button, or twice to finalise programming]
for open drinks/food, as above but status =0000000001
push the receipt button? unless programmed out, this is standard
the £5,£10,£20 buttons are macros, [assuming they have been programmed onto the keyboard]
turn key to p mode 95 sub total, macro number xtime perform the operation you want the maccro to automate eg sub total 5 button double zero button cash button

in terms of running tables, it depends on how the machine was set up in terms of memory allocation - this can be checked by turning the c key to the s mode and enterinng 10 into subtotal, 8 into x/time then press cash. you are looking at the printout "chek type" if it is set to soft then fine but if its hard then you will have to reprogram the machine from the ground up to be able to run tables

Hi, many thanks for that.

I've managed to program all of the PLU's to what & where I want them. I just have the following few issues remaining which I cannot sort:

1) The £5, £10 & £20 buttons which I would like opposite to the keypad to the right aren't there. I don't know what a macro is, never mind the code. I'd be ever so grateful and will donate anyway for the help given for a step-by on this!

2) I have 4 clerks. However, when one clerk is active on the till and another needs to start another transaction at the same time, it says the till SYS-OPEN ERR. I need it so I can have multiple clerks on at the same time.

3) Not essential, the till is set to soft check. It would be nice to program in 20 tables so I could run up a bill on them as the day/evening progresses and print an itemised bill off when they are ready to pay. Would be alot more efficient than the system I have in place now.

many thanks

we're still generalising at present - you said that you need 20 tables -
going back to the readout from earlier, look at chek line and check number
check number is the maximum number of tables and line is the number of items each table can handle.

using more than 1 clerk at a time is called "clerk interrupt" - again on the readout, check that clerk interrupt memory has been allocated [clerk int = yes]

after it has had memory allocated, you have to tell the till where the interrupt data is stored
- even on a stand alone register, you have to set communications up as if it were in a network,

turn the ky to p mode enter 15 subtotal, 3 x/time and check out comms opt 2,3 & 6.
the figure set at each should be the same as that set against "regi-num" on the earlier readout. - then, and only then can you enable clerk interrupt from the systems option menu.

you next have to allocate the macros to the keyboard, also a table number button, a pevious balance button and a print table button

this is quite involved for an amateur programmer and i would seriously consider getting the pro's in.

i don't want to discourage you too much but this will require far more help to set up AND to teach you how to use once set up that can realistically be expected on here
[ive only generalised and ive got writers cramp!]

where are you based?

Hi Andy, many thanks for your guidance.

I've managed to get the till do do what I want to do. However, I was wondering. I have allocated 20 clerks to the till. However, I can only programme clerk buttons 1-10 (with a descriptor). How do I add the other 10? The code to reloate the button was s mode, 20 sbtl, codes 69-78 and allocate the key. however waht are the codes for clerks 11-20?????

Many thanks

Simon.

can't be done - its a mad waste of buttons to start with!
as an alternative, use a clerk id button and give each member of staff a pin number - better security [stops people pushing a different persons button]
in its simplest form, use pin numbers 1 - 20
