I just got a Casio TE-2400 and am trying to set it up. I've got my program key in and have it set on PGM. I've tried following the directions to set date and time, but have no idea if what I have done is actually set and programmed. How can I find out?
Also, I need to set prices and don't know the easiest way to do it. I've looked through the manual, but feel kind of lost because I've never done any kind of programming before.
Does anyone have an easy way of programming prices and items into the register?

Hi jmh, I have been & currently am going through what you are. I can help a bit.

Make sure you're using the key with OW printed on it. Turn it to PGM.

To set PLU descriptions:

1. Press 2 then Subtotal.
2. Now enter your desired description for the key.
3. Press 00(double zero, not zero twice) then press the PLU key you wish to assign the description to.
4. Continue on from step 2 to assign other descriptions to other PLU's.
5. When you're happy, press Subtotal again.

To set PLU prices:

1. Press 1 then Subtotal.
2. Enter the desired price without decimal point (eg. $12.50 would be 1250)
3. Press the PLU key you wish to assign this price to.
4. Continue on from step 2 to assign other prices to other PLU's.
5. When your'e happy, press Subtotal again.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info. I ended up finding a post on here from someone dealing with the same issue I was having. It turned out that I had to do some kind of reset on the system and it's been working fine ever since.
